The Playground Golf Foundation’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. These programs will benefit all children in Columbia, Greene and Northern Dutchess County schools, including those that are underprivileged, have a physical or mental challenge, or are terminally ill. This introduction will impact the lives of children by providing equipment, transportation, scholarships and professional golf instruction delivered by trained PGA and First Tee coaches. These coaches will work hand in hand with host schools’ physical educators, during gym class. These in class activities along with afterschool programs will bridge the gap between golf and life, engage children to play this lifelong sport, and teach children these 9 core values:
